LB5-Journal Reflection

The objective of this lab was to create a rock, paper, scissors game though the use of JavaScript. This lab was specifically a challenge due to the troublesome errors that're associated with such game specifically with the JavaScript. With the experience of code Academy, I've learned that code Academy teaches JavaScript on a different level which is the basics which don't correspond with what we used in this lab. The Javascript used was from a reference website that's not from w3schools.com. Since the refereed website is much more detailed when it discusses the code for the rock, paper, scissors game; it was wise to refer to this website. The Javascript is actually a bit more complicated but by interpreting it on an advanced level, I've acknowledged the game and its process of making it.
By completing this lab, Javascript has further developed my understanding of coding in general. The most difficult part of this lab was the if/else statements that gave choices to specific events that would occur. If one event is nullified, then the other statement takes into effect as a result of the first statement being rejected. Code Academy clearly teaches this through their understanding of the basics. However, even their demonstration had errors in which the code couldn't be transitioned onto another location.
