Lab 1-Journal Reflection

           

                    The objective of this lab was to incorporate Javascript elements into our first lab to introduce the readers and ourselves to Javascript. We also discussed about ourselves and how we personally feel about obtaining a CTE diploma in web design. By obtaining a CTE diploma, I can pursue a future which can lead to a career in computer engineering and can land a successful job in the future with the help of web design. Anyhow, by completing this lab, it gave a refresher of the html coding that was done last year as well as css that was used for every lab up until now and for future assignments.
                    For our use of javascript for the very first time, it was not as bad since we were referring to w3schools.com. As such, this lab was very efficient way to refer to our past experience to establish a web page of significance to this assignment. By doing so, we can officially come back to our present state of coding and bring into light the knowledge of JavaScript. With this, we can establish a broader scope of web pages which will have more functions and much more capabilities and user-friendly as well. Overall, by accomplishing much more this year, our difficulties will increase exponentially to a point of no return since there's no backing down due to our progress so far.

                              The objective of this lab was to create a rock, paper, scissors game though the use of JavaScript. This lab was specifically a challenge due to the troublesome errors that're associated with such game specifically with the JavaScript. With the experience of code Academy, I've learned that code Academy teaches JavaScript on a different level which is the basics which don't correspond with what we used in this lab. The Javascript used was from a reference website that's not from w3schools.com. Since the refereed website is much more detailed when it discusses the code for the rock, paper, scissors game; it was wise to refer to this website. OSHA Labor Laws

                   This workshop gave a better insight into how government regulations help protect workers and how we should pay attention to these laws ourselves.  By knowing more about these OSHA laws, it can help better prepare us for future injuries as well as future shortcomings that may impact us negatively. By countering it properly, it can help us cope with these misfortunes by knowing more about these labor laws. In this workshop, it's taught us that whatever may come as a result or working, it must be notified to the supervisor or the boss of the workplace so that it can be dealt with properly. There was one video where it demonstrated a girl's issue with the workplace where she suffered a disastrous injury which crippled her for life. WBL Reflection journal

                Throughout my high school experience, I've learned to use my WBL experience for it to become a valuable asset in the future. Due to instilled values that are gained throughout the process, it's made me a better person in understanding the workplace in current time. I've learned to pace myself in the ways of an employed person throughout my internships and even in the classroom. Plus, it's given better control into how I perceive the future outcomes of assignments and my own decisions as well.
