Self Reflection- CTE College Career Fair

                     





                     The objective of the career fair was gain knowledge on colleges and other programs so that we could gain even more experience through our event. Because of the college fair, I got to greet and meet many interns, college alumnus, workers from the STEM program as well as workers form the military. One aspect that I've noticed is that many military workers are usually bald and are kept bald for a reason and it seems that being bald gives an advantage in their work place. Also, many people that I've talked to all shared their experiences about their work and personal knowledge of what they know about college. Plus, they were very generous and since I became very interested in what they had to say, I began to give in to their advice and payed attention to their advice carefully. in return, I gained more than just abstract knowledge but I also got a free folder that can hold multiple papers as well from Wood-Tobe College.
                       The events at the college fair gave quite a bit of foresight into what can occur in the future. Knowing that more events similar to this one will happen, I've gained enough experience to say that with more events to come I can handle them with ease just like with the confidence I had to deal with this college fair's event. Although the satisfaction received from this event is enough to say that by taking action to actually visit a college because of this college fair, this college fair has impacted me deeply. As a result, I've gained future foresight about my career goals and I plan on taking an initiative with this opportunity waiting to happen. This event has changed my outlook on what's to come in the future.

                              The objective of this lab was to create a rock, paper, scissors game though the use of JavaScript. This lab was specifically a challenge due to the troublesome errors that're associated with such game specifically with the JavaScript. With the experience of code Academy, I've learned that code Academy teaches JavaScript on a different level which is the basics which don't correspond with what we used in this lab. The Javascript used was from a reference website that's not from w3schools.com. Since the refereed website is much more detailed when it discusses the code for the rock, paper, scissors game; it was wise to refer to this website. OSHA Labor Laws

                   This workshop gave a better insight into how government regulations help protect workers and how we should pay attention to these laws ourselves.  By knowing more about these OSHA laws, it can help better prepare us for future injuries as well as future shortcomings that may impact us negatively. By countering it properly, it can help us cope with these misfortunes by knowing more about these labor laws. In this workshop, it's taught us that whatever may come as a result or working, it must be notified to the supervisor or the boss of the workplace so that it can be dealt with properly. There was one video where it demonstrated a girl's issue with the workplace where she suffered a disastrous injury which crippled her for life. WBL Reflection journal

                Throughout my high school experience, I've learned to use my WBL experience for it to become a valuable asset in the future. Due to instilled values that are gained throughout the process, it's made me a better person in understanding the workplace in current time. I've learned to pace myself in the ways of an employed person throughout my internships and even in the classroom. Plus, it's given better control into how I perceive the future outcomes of assignments and my own decisions as well.
